CSiS help system: the buy menu
menu layout
the buy menu will be the first thing once you have connected successfully to a server. understanding it is crucial, so read carefully.
the buy menu explained
1. info boxdisplays how much cash you have, as well as the selected item costs, among info referring to the selected object.
2. ship selection and display
purchase your ship here.
3. weapon slots
every ship has four weapon slots. you can mix weapons as you like.
4. rockets
purchase rockets or torpedos, if available. left clicking on the name button will add rockets, right clicking on the icon itself will remove them. if the bar above the icon is full, you cannot load any more rockets.
5. mines
purchase mines, if available. left clicking on the name button will add mines, right clicking on the icon itself will remove them. if the bar above the icon is full, you cannot load any more mines.
6. special equipment
optionally, decide for one of the turrets.
7. launch
when you are done, click here to launch into space.
8. buy previous
buy the same as last time.
9. save configurations
you can save up to four configurations in the buy menu. the small bar at the bottom pops up and shows you a preview of what you have stored.
general usage
1. decide for one type of shipwhen you enter a game, this is the first choice you have to make. this influences your gameplay style, your weapons loadout, and determines whether you and your team will succeed on the battlefield.
2. decide for guns
you will shoot most of the time in csis with your primary weapons, so choose wisely.
3. pick rockets and/or mines, if available
those powerful additions to your arsenal might give you superiority on the map.
4. special equipment
those items and the right strategy might work wonders in team based modes.
