first start
CSiS is made up of several smaller binaries that need to communicate on your system to ensure a smooth game experience. when you first start the game, you will be running into some firewall configuration issues, some errors like this might pop up:
those messages will only appear the first time you start the game, and will appear regardless of your internet conncetion status, as CSiS uses network protocols to communicate even in offline mode. it is vital that you allow all CSiS-related applications to communicate, those apps are
- csis_logger.exe - the log process that allows for debugging and dedicated server support
- cli_dedi.exe - the dedicated server application
- csis_engine.exe - the game binary
- CSiS.exe - the launch tool (updater)
- Reporter.exe - the crash reporter
